About

Cathy Sevier, Professional Organizer, has been helping people simplify their lives and get organized since 2008. An Oregon native, Cathy enjoys providing a positive and encouraging environment to her clients to help them work through their toughest organizing challenges to find more time to do the things that they love.

Cathy is a Golden Circle member and former Board Officer of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Oregon Chapter. She also holds three Certificates of Study in Chronic Disorganization, Chronic Disorganization Client Administration, and Basic ADD Issues with the CD Client from the Institute of Challenging Disorganization (ICD). She attended Wings' 50-hour The Personal Effectiveness Seminar to enhance communication skills; and she was awarded Continuing Education Certificates for topics about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Hoarding, Stress, Burnout, and Anxiety, ADHD, and Mindfulness.


Prior to starting Scattered Possessions, Cathy was a Human Resource Manager and Education and Training Manager for the 939th Mission Support Squadron at Portland International Airport. People are often surprised to also learn Cathy is a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force Reserve.

Cathy's professional achievements include a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, membership in the National Honor Society, and recognition as the recipient of the National Association of Professional Organizers Oregon Chapter (NAPO Oregon) Volunteer of the Year Award in 2011.

She also enjoys volunteering her professional organizing services for fundraising events to benefit local non-profit organizations such as the Architectural Heritage Center, Schoolhouse Supplies, and HomePlate Youth Services.

Cathy enjoys bicycling, gardening, walking, and yoga, and reading mystery novels and lives in Vancouver, Washington with her husband and a cranky cat.
